Happy Holidays!
Coaches will be regularly leading practices starting January 2nd on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Coach Alexanderson (Betsy) will lead weight strength and plyo workouts on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6:15AM-7:15AM. Betsy, Julie, Joe, and Annie will lead distance running, sprint endurance, throwing and field events technique practice on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:30 PM-4:30 PM. Coaches expect that by attending practices you are committing to joining the outdoor track team in March which involves fees and competition. Athletes are encouraged to exercise on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on their own. The intention of indoor track is to develop aerobic, technique, and strength training in preparation for the outdoor track season and to have the option of competing throughout the winter months. We end the indoor season with an optional indoor track meet in Pocatello, ID called the Simplot Games from Thursday, February 13 - Saturday, February 15 where we will travel and stay in a hotel. This event generally costs $250, depending on the amount of athletes who register. Those fees cover Simplot registration, bus travel, and hotel costs. Be advised that the school DOES NOT pay for indoor registration and DOES NOT require fees for the indoor season. For a full list of indoor meets this 2020 season, click here. |
